In 1996 AD, the bachelor’s degree program was launched. The BAMS offers instruction in a broad range of areas. It covers everything from yoga to microbiology and biochemistry to physiology. Additionally, BAMS students are taught practical subjects like radiology, pharmacology, forensic medicine, taxology, etc. This program is comparable to an MBBS.

Objectives of BAMS:

  • To teach students the fundamental concepts and knowledge of Ayurvedic science and to familiarize them with contemporary Ayurvedic practices.
  • To create graduates with the fundamental knowledge of many Ayurvedic subjects as well as the requisite understanding of the science, together with practical training.
  • To create highly skilled and knowledgeable people who can eventually fill the roles of an effective teacher, an effective researcher, and a competent Kayachikitsak and Shalyachikitsak.
  • To create graduates capable of improving the country’s health care system through Ayurveda while being aware of their moral, ethical, and professional obligations.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students must have a minimum of 50% or 2.4 CGPA in the Proficiency Certificate Level or Grade 12 Science Group.
  • Students from A-level or another similar program should have a minimum of 50 percent or 2.4 CGPA.
    He or she must obligately meet the prerequisites to take the entrance exam.

Entrance Exam:

  • The full score is 100 for the entrance exam.
  • Each subject in the entrance exam is worth 20 points: physics, chemistry, zoology, botany, and ayurveda.
  • Students must obtain at least 50% of the possible points.
  • According to a merit list, students are enrolled.

Necessary Documents For Admission:

  • The equivalent of a 10+2 and SLC/SEE certificate, transcript, and character certificate.
    Citizenship copy.
  • For students who have diplomas from international institutions, a Certificate of Equivalence is required.
