There is a total of 77 districts in Nepal we have listed all the 77 districts of Nepal province-wise. As per article 56 (3) of the constitution, There shall be Provinces consisting of the Districts referred to in Schedule4 existing in Nepal at the time of commencement of this Constitution. This constitution means constitution 2072 which is prevailing now in our country. So Schedule 4 of the constitution 2072 talks about provinces and 77 districts of Nepal. Before that, Nepal used to have 75 districts, and later Rukum and Nawalparasi were divided as separate districts. So, now we have two Rukum and Nawalparasi in Province 5 (Lumbini) and Province 6 (Karnali).
Knowing about our district is important as a piece of general knowledge and Loksewa’s perspective as well. The importance of 77 district of Nepal is also important to stand for local bodies election. Here is an overview of the number of districts in each province of Nepal.
