The Nepal Country Office in Kathmandu is in need of a proactive expert to fill the position of Transport Specialist with the World Bank’s Transport (ISAT I) Global Practice. This appointment is for a two-year term.

The candidate should have at least five years of relevant professional experience in the transportation industry and an advanced degree (Master or PhD) in a relevant field (transport engineering, planning, economics, or a related topic), with a concentration on at least two of the following areas:

  • Urban Mobility
  • Transport Planning, Design & Operations
  • Highway/ Roads Engineering
  • Logistics Services
  • Public Procurement & Contract Management
  • Management/ Implementation of Transport Infrastructure Investments & Operational Services.

According to the Nepal compensation plan, local recruitment is required for this position.
