BFS is an undergraduate program of total three years under Tribhuvan University. During the period of three years, students will study English, Nepali, History, Culture, Sociology, and Psychology as compulsion subjects while students can specialize in Direction, Acting. Motion Picture Photography, Audiography and Film Editing. There are several reasons why students choose to obtain a Bachelor in Film Studies. The program teaches a variety of concepts, including visual storytelling, history of film and television, and film genre studies. Typical course topics include directing, film theory and production, scriptwriting, international cinema, motion picture history, and animation.
Academically, it is a program that equips students with the fundamental and basic knowledge, such as how the myriad elements of film work side by side. Eager participants will also learn about the unique combination of theoretical knowledge and filmmaking practice. Students may choose options from an extensive array of courses, enabling them to apply various methods in order to analyze movement techniques, films, and styles within global film history.
The minimum requirement to join BFS (Bachelor in Film Studies) course is +2/PCL or any equivalent examinations passed in any discipline (Science, Management, Humanities, and Education) from any nation/foreign board/university recognized by Tribhuvan University.
