Nepal Open university was founded to increase access to higher education for populations underserved by traditional higher education. Therefore, Nepal’s open university is working to develop inclusive programs pertinent to the country’s needs in developing a knowledge society capable of training young for the Nepali labor market and the global one.
Nepal Open University will use modern information and communication technology to conduct programs through distant learning online. Science and technology, technical and vocational education, representation of the different courses, and other priority areas for higher education as identified in higher education policy will be the focus of the educational program.
Objective of Nepal Open University
Nepal Open Univeristy has made the following commitments as its primary goals:
- Give individuals who are denied or denied access to conventional higher education institutions through the traditional mode of learning opportunity and access to academic, professional, and research-based.
- Produce citizens with knowledge, skills, and competencies in a variety of fields and subjects who are prepared to contribute to sustainable development and who have a spirit of coexistence by utilizing contemporary information technology in education through student-centered and research-based teaching-learning opportunities that are problem-based;
