The District Attorney Office of Kathmandu has sued 290 persons at District Court, Kathmandu on forgery of document related to Lalita Niwas land scam.
The Attorney Office filed the case as per the investigation report submitted by the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police. With 290 persons being defendants on this case related to the public land, 53 persons are made defendants under land seizure purposes.
These culprits have been demanded one year’s of imprisonment while government officers and ministers involved in it have been demanded for two-years’ imprisonment.143 ropanies of public land were transferred to individual ownerships, with all fake documents and forgery.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) claimed that this was conducted in an organized manner and recommended the District Attorney Office to sue 286 persons in this case. The CIB of Nepal Police has claimed that proprietor of Bhatbhateni supermarket, Min Bahadur Gurung and his family owns more than 29 ropani of Lalita Niwas land.
