Western Regional Hospital (WRH) is the second-largest hospital in Nepal and the largest in the Western area, with a capacity of 500 beds. It is located in Ramghat, Kaski. Western Regional Hospital was founded as a “Soldiers Board Hospital” in 2012 B.S. and is now a District Hospital with 15 beds in 2019 B.S. Western Regional Hospital, now known as PAHS, was founded in 2072 B.S. as an academic center (Pokhara Academy of Health and Sciences). It has received approval to provide Master’s degree programs. The curriculum is designed to develop qualified and skilled workers in the field of health sciences. The programs offered are MD Anaesthesiology, MS in General Surgery, MD in Paediatrics, MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MS in Orthopedics, and MD in Internal Medicine.
