Kathmandu University School of Medical Science (KUSMS)
Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS) is a Public-based institution established in collaboration between Kathmandu University and Dhulikhel Hospital. This organization launched its own constituent MBBS program in August 2001. This medical institution has the infrastructure and physical facilities at two locations: a basic science building with all the required facilities is situated at a hilltop at Chaukot in the Panauti area and the university hospital is located in Dhulikhel District, Bagmati Pradesh of Nepal, within a distance of 3 km. Dhulikhel Hospital is known as the university hospital for all the medical programs run under the affiliation with Kathmandu University (constituent medical programs of Kathmandu University). This institute offers Certificate Level Program in PCL Nursing and Undergraduate Programs in MBBS, Bachelor in Dental SCIENCE(BDS), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), B.Sc. Nursing, Bachelor in Nursing Science (BNS), Bachelor of Science in Laboratory Medicine (B.SC.LAB. MED.), and Bachelor of Science in Medical Imagine Technology (B.SC. MIT). This KUSMS also conducts Postgraduates programs in MD/MS, MDS program, Master of Science in Public Health (M.SC PH), and Master of Science in Midwifery. The basic science department has distinct departments with the required number of laboratories, lecture halls including PBL classrooms, audiovisual facilities (media tech.), and a library. This organization also provides scholarships programs at distinct levels through the Ministry of Education and other support at KUSMS and its affiliated colleges.
