The Swiss government provided technical and financial aid to create the Balaju School of Engineering and Technology (BSET) in 1962 with the goal of generating a trained industrial workforce to meet the rising needs of existing companies in the country. Under the CTEVT umbrella, BSET is a pioneering technical and vocational training institute. This school provides a skill-oriented 29-month (Pre-SLC) and 18-month (Post-SLC) long-term Technical School Leaving Certificate (TSLC) course in three major trades: mechanical, electrical, and sanitation, as well as a Diploma level course in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Ophthalmic Science.
