CMAT (Central Management Admission Test)
Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) is mandatory to get admission in programs like Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor in Information Management (BIM), Bachelor in Business Management (BBM), Bachelor in Hotel Management (BHM), and Bachelor in Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM).
The CMAT test is online and comprises verbal ability; quantitative analysis; logical reasoning; and general awareness tests. The total mark is 100 and the test duration is 90 minutes. There are altogether 100 questions that are divided into 4 sections.

Eligibility for CMAT
A student becomes eligible for the CMAT test if he/she:
- completed +2 or equivalent from a recognized board
- obtains 45% aggregate marks in +2 or equivalent
- appeared in the preliminary test exam
KUUMAT (Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission Test)
(Don’t get confused with KUMAT. KUMAT is a similar sort of admission test but for the graduate-level admissions at Kathmandu University, Faculty of Management.)
The Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission test, a.k.a. KUUMAT is the first phase of the admission test given by the Kathmandu University (KU) of Nepal to choose eligible students for admission in undergraduate level programs (BBA, BBIS, and BHTM) under the faculty of management.
KUUMAT test comprises:
- General SAT
- SAT Mathematics Test
It’s a paper-based test.
Eligibility for KUUMAT
A student is eligible for taking the KUUMAT test if he/she:
- has completed +2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade (minimum 2.0/4.0)from a recognized board
Note: The candidates with their grade 11 completed and are yet to take their grade 12 examination can also apply for the KUUMAT test on a provisional basis. These students must have obtained 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grades in their 11th-grade final examination result.
