GATE College Accreditations & Awards

GATE is registered with the Government of Nepal and is approved by the University Grant Commission and the Ministry of Education, Nepal. Tribhuvan University, in Nepal, has accredited GATE’s programs and courses and has given due equivalence to GATE’s Higher Diploma as Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management. 1.GATE SHA-Higher Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Higher Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management is 3 years' program equivalent to BHM course by Tribhuvan University and also a level 6 degree of European Qualification Framework.  This program prepares students for general management and business career in the hospitality industry. In order to be successful, one needs to be trained in all areas of management in both theoritical and practical. The basis of the first part of this program is oriented to hospitality operations, comprising food & beverage, cuisine, housekeeping, lodging, administration, and languages. With a deep and firm foundation, you will be well prepared for on-the-job training responsibilities.

An entire internship year is dedicated to practical training and development to establish you as a prominent member of the world’s largest service industry. After internship completion, the final year of academic studies is focused on managerial subjects. Eligibility for Admission

Commercial Cookery Certificate III

Commercial Cookery Certificate III (SIT 30813) is an Australian Culinary Certificate accredited by largest Australian Government Institute TAFE (Technical and Further Education). This course is offered at the Global Academy for Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE). This certificate provides students with a broad cross-section of theoretical knowledge and practical skills training in a fully equipped commercial kitchen, ensuring graduating students job ready for their career as a commercial chef. The course includes 25 units designed to reflect the modern kitchen skills set required for all chefs.

Course Outlines

For those who already have work experience as a chef, there is (RPL) Recognition of Prior Learning. You can enroll without leaving your job. Your prior skills will be valued. This program is also ideal for working professionals who want to save their time if you already have work experience you may get an exemption from some course units after assessment.
